The Bloomfield-Davis County Public Safety Commission will meet at 4 p.m. Monday in the Bloomfield City Council Chambers. The commission will discuss and consider a 28E agreement, which is being updated to accommodate the new Davis County Law Center.

The Mutchler Community Center Commission will meet Monday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. the commission will will consider administrative reports, review the 2015 tax return and audit. They will continue discussions about the installation of a flag, purchase a new sign, and the possible extension of hours.

The Davis County School Board will meet at 5 p.m. Monday night in a special meeting. The agenda calls for the board to discuss possible gymnasium renovations.

The Bloomfield City Council held a discussion Thursday night concerning the process needed to hire a city administrator. The council is looking into hiring a city administrator instead of just hiring a director of public works. Council members spent time Thursday learning the process toward hiring a city administrator and also discussed the need for city officials to determine whether or not a city administrator will be the right direction for the council to proceed. No decisions were made Thursday night. Council members will continue to discuss the matter and will make decisions regarding the position at a later date. The discussion has come up due to DPW Ted Henderson retiring in early December.

The Davis County Board of Supervisors will meet at 8:30 a.m. Monday. The board will meet with Custodian Randy Norman at 8:50 a.m. and secondary roads at 9 a.m. The board will meet with Anna Bruen from Pathfinders, they will discuss an abatement in Pulaski for the 2015 assessment year, they will consider committee assignments, and discuss a HIPPA contract. The board will canvass votes from the Nov. 8 election at 3 p.m. Monday afternoon.

Vernine Jo "Jodi"Parks-Doyle, 75, of Peyton, Colorado and former Bloomfield resident died at Denver Memorial Hospital on Nov. 4 following a significant stroke. Per her request, she will be cremated and returned to Bloomfield where she will be buried close to her parents in the IOOF Cemetery. A celebration of her life will be held at the Wagler Funeral Home on Nov. 21 at 11 a.n. Online condolences may be directed to www.waglerfuneralhome.com.

Darrell Gene McMain, 76, of Bloomfield, died Nov. 10 at the Bloomfield Care Center. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at the Wagler Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Shipley officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Monday with the family present to greet friends from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
